Choosing the Right Flower for Your Wedding

What kind of bride are you? classic, simple, sporty, glamorous and so on. Find out your style and match it up with the flower and the color of the bouquet and décor for your wedding.

If you plan to have a themed wedding do not forget to inform your florist the theme of your wedding and what you want in it. Find out a color scheme that will be suitable for your wedding theme. For example rich ambers, oranges and reds complement fall weddings, while silver, gold and cranberry suit winter theme. Pale pink, blue and green work well for spring weddings, and rich beach colors or citrus hues work well for summer theme. Daisies work perfectly for a casual outdoor wedding, while lush roses are excellent for more formal atmostphere.

Be open minded to the advices from the florists that understands your style and able to make arrangements that match your vision. You can go beyond the traditional bouquet by choosing embellishments such as gemstones, feathers, fruits and vegetables.
The condition and situation
If your are a petite brides, it is better for you to take smaller flower arrangement while while taller bride can carry more robust bouquets. It is also wise asking your mother or grandmother what bloom she carried on her wedding and considering to carry the same one as a sign of honor and love for her. If you plan to have a wedding in a hot climate or small space, choose less-fragrant flowers such as asters, dahlias and many orchids. Avoid tuberose, freesia and gardenias.
