Requirements of Legal Wedding in Bali

Wedding abroad may present you with some legal issues; most countries have rules about residency, usually only a few days. But when you hold your wedding in Bali and book your wedding through Ablwedding.com, all the legalities of your wedding will be dealt with us. However, it’s a good idea to check that all legal requirements will be taken care of. If you are arranging everything yourself you will need to get accurate advice from the consulate or embassy of the country concerned.
You will most certainly need to supply copies of the following before you travel, taking the originals with you to be produced before your ceremony for a legal wedding in Bali:
- Copy of Birth of certificate
- Copy of Passport of the couple and witnesses
- Certificate of No Impediment to Marry, it is issued from consulate or embassy in Indonesia
- Death certificate of former spouse (when relevant)
- Divorce certificate (When relevant)
- Letter of parental consent for person under 21
- Witnesses at least 2 person ( if required)
- Five (5) photographs (6×4) of the couple in same photo
- And if the couple are Catholic, there are some additional requirements:
- Letter of free to marry or has never been married from Church or Parish Priest
- Letter from your church or Parish Priest to delegate your marriage to be handled by Priest and Catholic Church in Bali
- Certificate of Baptism - of the couple
- Certificate pre-marriage course
- Pre Nuptial Inquiry (to fill)
- Two (2) photographs (6×4cm) of the couple in same photo.
